Selection process for transfer projects
Focused transfer projects may be carried out from July 1, 2014 to December 31, 2017. The intention is to complete up to 150 transfer projects during this time.
Project outlines may be submitted at any time; however, due to funding regulations, projects will be selected in four batches. The deadlines for submitting project outlines are:
- January 31, 2014 for projects to be carried out between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015 (batch 1).
- January 31, 2015 for projects to be carried out between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016 (batch 2).
- January 31, 2016 for projects to be carried out between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 (batch 3).
- September 30, 2016 for projects to be carried out between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 (batch 4).
There are 3 steps to the selection process for focused transfer projects.
Phase 1: Project definition
The project partners draft a project outline (max. 10 pages) and submit it to the cluster management company. The project outline must meet the specified requirements. A format template can be downloaded here.
Phase 2: Project evaluation
Using predefined criteria, the project outlines are evaluated by an independent jury. Members of the jury are technical experts from businesses and research institutes in the Leading-Edge Cluster. The submitted project outlines are ranked in order.
Phase 3: Project selection
Individual transfer projects are selected by the cluster board, with the decision based on the project ranking. Formal approval is given after the selected applications for focused transfer projects have been validated by the project sponsor.
