Toolkit for the design of AI-based intralogistics in manufacturing companies (IMAGINE)

Optimising processes in intralogistics

In intralogistics, manufacturing companies are confronted with increasingly volatile sales and procurement markets: The ability to react to dynamic changes in parameters and customer requirements becomes a competitive advantage. In order to master the associated challenges, current developments in the field of 'artificial intelligence' promise new approaches to solving these problems.

The aim of the project is to use relevant approaches in order to achieve significant improvements in the fulfilment of the core services of intralogistics: Processes in warehousing, transport and order processing are to be optimised by at least 10 to 15 percent, and methods and tools are developed with which companies can analyse and optimise their internal logistics. On the basis of this, pilot projects for the production of household appliances, separators and pumps for buildings are being realised in companies.
