Qualification & Training

Qualification and training opportunities at it's OWL

Big data, networking of machines, IT security, human-machine interaction, holistic product development and new business models: A practical training programme qualifies employees for new technologies in the context of Industrie 4.0.

Industrie 4.0 is the key to increasing productivity and reducing costs, especially in the manufacturing sector. We have created the technological basis for this in the technology network it’s OWL. Now we are qualifying employees in SMEs to use these technologies with tailor-made offers.

Ten training courses provide an overview of new technologies for Industrie 4.0 as well as their fields of application and impact. The different topics of the one-day modules are oriented to the research focus of the research institutions in OWL: assistance systems, interactive robotics as well as virtual and augmented reality (Bielefeld), data processing and machine learning (Lemgo) as well as business models, product service systems and digitised production (Paderborn).

The free training courses are conducted by experts from universities and research institutions. The target group comprises production managers and developers from small and medium-sized enterprises in OWL.

In lectures, exercises and use cases participants will recognise new perspectives for your company. Small group sizes (a maximum of 15 participants) are ideal to exchange ideas and discuss with experts. Demonstration centres and laboratories give practical insights into new technologies and provide possibilities to test them hands-on.

The training courses are part of the "Industrie 4.0 for SMEs" project of OstWestfalenLippe GmbH.
