Center for Entrepreneurship at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences

The Center for Entrepreneurship is a university-wide contact point for all people interested in founding a company at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, which provides active support in all phases of business start-up.

Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences has set itself the goal of promoting the active transfer of knowledge and thus professional independence as an essential career option for students and academic staff. This means actively supporting and accompanying spin-offs from the university. Innovative ideas, research results and inventions should find their way into practical application even faster and more frequently in the future.

The services offered by the CFE are aimed at people interested in founding a company at the university at all stages of the start-up process. As a university which, according to its self-image, is also oriented towards regional needs, Bielefeld UAS will become an even more visible player in the (regional) start-up ecosystem. With the Center for Entrepreneurship, we want to train the founders of the future and support them in their start in this ecosystem. Together, we create a perceptible and activating start-up culture at the university that inspires people for entrepreneurship. With the CFE, the framework conditions are set to transform this enthusiasm into the most innovative start-ups possible.

The CFE is financed with a total of around 1.3 million euros by the "EXIST Potentials" program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), which promotes the start-up culture in science and strengthens established start-up networks.
