it's OWL Association

Businesses, universities, research institutes and organisations from East Westphalia-Lippe pool their interests in it's OWL e.V. with the common goal of developing the OstWestfalenLippe region into one of the world’s most competitive and attractive high-tech centers.

The association is the sole shareholder of it's OWL Clustermanagement GmbH. Leading the association is the cluster board, which includes prominent individuals from businesses and universities. The chairman is Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Gausemeier (Managing Board, Heinz Nixdorf Institute, University of Paderborn). The deputy chairs are Hans Beckhoff (Managing Partner, Beckhoff Automation) and Dr. Eduard Sailer (Managing Director, Miele). The Ostwestfalen chamber of commerce and industry (IHK) in Bielefeld acts as agent for the association.
